Brass butt plate1819 Barnett flintlock trade rifle, brass butt plate

The metal of this rifle was found along the Pembina River by Fred Gamble in 1911 on the southwest quarter of 12-61-27 W4 west of Pibroch, near the Wabash Creek. Markings identify it as being made by the Barnett Company in London, England, in 1819.
